On May 19, Piotr Beczala makes his Wagnerian role debut as the eponymous Grail Knight in Lohengrin at Semperoper Dresden. Headlining Christine Mielitz’s feminist staging of the work, Piotr stars across fellow Wagnerian debutant Anna Netrebko as Elsa von Brabant, with Tomasz Konieczny as Friedrich von Telramund, Evelyn Herlitzius as Ortrud, and Georg Zeppenfeld as Heinrich der Vogler.

Christian Thielemann conducts performances on May 19, 22, 25, and 29. While the production run is sold out, more information can be found here.
