Piotr Beczala reunites with pianist Helmut Deutsch on April 8, 2016 for a recital at Vienna’s famed Musikverein. The star tenor, who recently earned acclaim for his performance in the Bayerische Staatsoper’s new production of Un ballo in maschera, gives a program that pairs Schumann’s Dichterliebe with selected songs by Mieczyslaw Karlowicz, Dvorak’s Zigeunermelodien, and works by Rachmaninoff.

Following next week’s performance, Piotr remains in Vienna and returns to the role of Riccardo in Verdi’s Ballo with a revival of Gianfranco de Bosio’s production for the Wiener Staatsoper. Performances take place April 19, 23, 26, and 29.
