As announced by the company today, Piotr Beczala will return to the Metropolitan Opera in the 2016-17 season for a revival of the Zeffirelli’s beloved staging of La Bohème. Reprising his acclaimed account of the poet Rodolfo, Piotr stars opposite Kristine Opolais as Mimì and Massimo Cavalletti as Marcello. Marco Armiliato conducts performances, which hear Piotr November 16, 19, 23, 26, 29, and December 3 and 8.

Piotr will also participate in a special gala on May 7 to honor 50 years of the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, joining an all-star lineup that also includes Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Renée Fleming, and James Levine.
