Broadcasts of Salzburg Festival Faust August 13 and August 27

On August 13 at 7:30pm CET, ORF broadcasts Faust, recorded on August 10 at the Salzburg Festival and starring Piotr Beczala as the eponymous philosopher, on Ö1. The performance hears Piotr starring opposite Maria Agresta as Marguerite and Ildar Abdrazakov as Méphistophélès.

An encore television broadcast of the production, staged by Reinhard von der Thannen and conducted by Alejo Pérez, will take place in coproduction with ORF and Unitel on August 27 on 3sat and on Classica.

Piotr has earned acclaim for his performance in Salzburg, with BR Klassik writing:
