The Bayerische Staatsoper’s new Un ballo in maschera, starring Piotr Beczala, will be streamed on the company’s video platform, Staatsoper.TV, on March 18.

Hailed for a Riccardo reminiscent of a young Nicolai Gedda (Abendzeitung), Piotr stars in Johannes Erath’s new production of Verdi’s drama about fate and state. George Petean and Anja Harteros costar, with Zubin Mehta on the podium.

Captured from an earlier performance, the stream begins at 10:10 p.m. Munich time on March 18 and will be available to watch on demand through March 27. The broadcast can simultaneously be watched on ARTE.
