Piotr Beczala returns to the Metropolitan Opera November 13 through December 12 for the company’s revival of Rigoletto. Starring in Michael Mayers’s Vegas-inspired production, which premiered with Piotr in 2013, the tenor brings with him his “ringing tone and ardor” (New York Times) and  “outrageous cool-cat charisma as the Duke, singing and moving with immaculate grace” (Opera News).

Under the alternating batons of Pablo Heras-Casado and Roberto Abbado, Piotr stars opposite Olga Peretyatko as Gilda November 13, 16, and 19, with his San Francisco Opera Lucia costar Nadine Sierra stepping in December 2, 5, 8, 12, and 17. The production reunites Piotr with his 2013 costar Zeljko Lucic in the title role.
