Joined by Helmut Deutsch Piotr Beczała has finished a monthlong European tour which featured Schumann’s Dichterliebe, Dvorak’s Zigeunerlieder, and selections from Karlowicz and Rachmaninoff.

The tournée ended with a spectacular performance at newly opened Elbhiharmonie in Hamburg . The concert was scheduled to end at 9:15pm however due to the enormous applause the artists came back to the stage for 7 more encores! The complete tour received many positive reviews.

Starting on April 19th Piotr returned as Gustav III to Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera in Vienna. April 23’s performance was streamed online as part of the Staatsoper Live series.

The coming weeks promises to be intense as well . On the last day of April Piotr will perform at Oviedo Filarmonía in Spain. Piotr Beczala also looks forward to perform at the celebration of  The Metropolitan Opera’s 50th Anniversary at Lincoln Center in New York City. Fans all around the world will be able to watch this performance in selected cinemas.
