Following operatic performances in Barcelona, Berlin, and Prague, Piotr Beczala returns to the recital stage in March for a monthlong European tour with performances in Spain, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Croatia.

The star tenor begins on March 1 in Bilbao at the city’s Philharmonic Society, followed by March 3 at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas. On March 7, he returns to Barcelona in the wake of his successful Werther at the Liceu earlier this year for a performance at the Palau de la Musica.

From Spain, Piotr returns to his home country of Poland on March 10 for an engagement at Warsaw’s Teatr Wielki, and continues on to Germany and Austria with stops on March 14 at Oper Frankfurt, March 18 at Musikverein Graz, March 21 at the Berlin Konzerthaus, March 24 at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, and April 7 at the Kongresshaus Stadthalle Heidelberg.

In between Hamburg and Heidelberg, Piotr stops in Zagreb for a March 30 recital at Lisinski Hall.

Piotr is joined by Helmut Deutsch at the keyboard for these liderabends, which feature Schumann’s Dichterliebe, Dvorak’s Zigeunerlieder, and selections from Karlowicz and Rachmaninoff.
